B. Curry Hammock Park is also in the Keys, and is pretty much always sold out from October to April. A waiting list exists and although few, there are cancellations, so again book early. Here you will be basically beaching it. White sandy beaches and cookout grills on the beach make this a great spot if you are inclined to just sit there and bake yourself in a deep dark tan. Here you will also see some plant life and animals that are only common to this region, so have your camera ready.

C. Named after famous folk singer Gamble Rogers, this northern Florida destinations offers an abundance of fun to do. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterways, in Flagler County, you will find great snorkeling, deep sea fishing, boating and picnics on the beach, the most common activities. As the temperatures cool, you can watch mother sea turtles lay and hide her eggs for their long nurturing growth and hatch. A different site will offer you many more choices of shells as they lay there waiting for you to take home as a memory of your trip.

D. While still in the northern part of Florida, you may wish to check into the Gold Head Branch Resort. Centrally located between Jacksonville and Gainsville, this locale offers a fresh water lake, home of the Bald Eagle, other local animals and more. Take a drive and enjoy more than 25 golf courses within 50 miles of this resort. Plan a late fall trip to Gold Head and enjoy the wildflowers in bloom with color and scents to keep you calm and enjoy all that this area has to offer.

A. Just 12 miles from Marathon, Florida, in the Florida Keys, you will find Bahia Honda. With access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Florida Gulf, boating, fishing, snorkeling will give you some great fun. They have over 80 hook up sites and pets are welcome. Be sure to take a walk on the beach late in the day, to see some of the most romantic sunsets you will ever see. But book early as these spaces are locked up by returning guests.

B. Also in the Florida Keys is another terrific spot named: Curry Hammock State Park. This location is always sold out during the Winter months, but you can get on a cancellation list to get you into this site. This resort gets over a large percentage of reoccurring visitors. They offer fishing, cookouts, grills, snorkeling and with a protected environment, you will see Flora and Fauna that is only common in Florida.

Florida is and always will be the number 1 vacation destination. From all of these locales, a day trip to a theme park or to shop will only enhance the vacation experience. Florida is truly the Sunshine State and by visiting there in your RV you will have the chance to take in all that this beautiful state has to offer. If these areas are not where you were planning to stay, check around and you will find that there are many great options for you and your family.

Despite these detractions from the pure camping experience, Disney Fort Wilderness Resort is well worth the money they charge for you to camp there. The campsite is set upon some truly beautiful land: a forest full of pine trees, water canals, and hiking trails that look like the real thing. There are even deer, rabbits, and ducks wandering around the campgrounds.

Disney Fort Wilderness offers plenty for the entire family to do during the camping  experience. You can go hiking on a forest trail or fish and swim in one of the many water  canals on the campgrounds. You can also take your kids on a horse and wagon ride or to the  archery range. In addition, every evening, you can watch a Disney movie under the stars in  an outdoor arena.  There are hook-ups for tents and RV’s, and log-cabin style buildings dot the premises.

The campsites are situated in a forest full of pine and cypress trees and there are log cabins or other rustic-looking buildings on site. Camping at Disney is also safer than camping at a traditional campsite. There are no dangerous wild animals at Fort Wilderness Resort; you will never have to start a fire to scare away wolves, bears, or other predators. The only other people you will encounter are other paying guests, and Disney staff is located on the campgrounds in case of emergency.

If your children are camping purists, they might object to the Disney campsites because you have modern conveniences such as electricity and water. However, there is so much to do on the campgrounds that they will probably completely forget about this issue.

You can also visit two golf courses and other Disney World Resort Hotels. Several of the  parks are also accessible via walking trails, and if you want to see the Magic Kingdom, you  can take a boat ride.  Plus, Disney Fort Wilderness offers horse and wagon rides, bike rentals, swimming, fishing, archery, and even an outdoor movie every night.

If you have a dog, you can bring him or her to selected areas of the campsite. Your dog will enjoy walking through the campgrounds and will have an air-conditioned place to sleep. Cats are presumably also welcome on the campsite, although most cats are not leash trained so this may not be a good idea.

Disney Fort Wilderness charges a nominal fee for pet privileges as well as for high-speed  Internet access. With so much to do, however, you probably won’t have time for the Internet.  Camping at Disney is truly an opportunity for the whole family to get away from their  regular routines and just relax.  There are private bathroom and shower facilities on site, as well as laundry facilities. Some campsites are being renovated this year; check with Disney for availability.

My girlfriend had persuaded me to take a last minute package holiday to Florida. We’d been lucky enough to get a really cheap last minute fly-drive deal that gave us 7 nights to explore Orlando and enjoy the Gulf coast.

We flew from Gatwick to Orlando airport and went straight to the car hire desk to collect the keys to our car. We’d pre-booked our first two nights in the Clarion Hotel and a hire car for the duration of our stay. Our loose plan was to stay put if we liked the hotel and its location, or move on if we were inclined.

Our first night was spent resting in the hotel ready for our first full day which we spent sight-seeing and shopping. We finished the day at a fantastic fish restaurant that served some really delicious seafood with great service and entertainment thrown in. It was on our return journey to our hotel that things began to go downhill.

It was when we got on the highway that a police car came up behind us and indicated for us to pull over. The police officer told me that one of my tail lights wasn’t working and asked me to step out to take a look. I explained that it was a rental car and that we had just arrived in the country only yesterday. The friendly and helpful police officer then asked me to open the boot so that he could take a look at the tail lamp.

He shone his torch into the boot and there were clearly some traces of what looked like a white powder covering the trunk lining. The police officer’s manner changed immediately and he returned to his vehicle where he spent some time communicating on his radio. Within only a few minutes a second police car arrived with two officers inside. They told us that we were to accompany them to the police station to answer a few questions.

At the station it became clear that the police suspected that our story wasn’t true and that we were in fact international drug dealers who had just emptied a trunk load of cocaine somewhere in Orlando. My girlfriend was incredibly upset by the whole experience. It took no less than nine hours for the police to finally corroborate our story and verify who we were.

Luckily there were still people working at the car hire office, even at that late hour, and they were able to provide police with details of the person who had hired the car prior to us. I’ve no idea if the police ever managed to catch up with the individual responsible for carrying drugs in the boot of the car.

Travel tip: We saved a fortune on airport parking by booking online, in advance. Also, make certain that your travel insurance policy covers you for legal expenses abroad.

When traveling to Florida do not forget to take your sun glasses with you and a good quality sun screen lotion with you. Miami Beach is a different place, which will often be confused with the actual city of Miami. When packing be sure you remember to bring your swimsuit with you if you plan to spend time on the beach.

Miami is one of the favorite attractions especially during winter for United States domestic as well as international visitors. If you are planning to travel on a tight budget then I am sure you would be looking for discounted Miami hotel rooms. To find the economy hotels in Miami is not impossible but will require a bit of effort.

Being a tourist location, Miami is full of hotels around Miami International airport, South Beach & other surrounding areas. Usually people that are traveling on business trip stays in airport hotels. Airport hotels are meant for the business travelers. Most of Miami airport hotels are designed with the business traveler in mind.

There are numerous Miami beach hotels that have reached and deserve the five star statuses they have received. It is just up to the travelers to do research on each location from various sources including web sites that include many other hotels. When looking for luxury hotels there is a reason they are called luxury, the basic room rates can run near one thousand dollars each night.

There are four major rides, two of which are roller coasters. Journey to Atlantis is a water coaster, based on the mythical underwater city. Wild Arctic is a flight simulator that whisks you away on a helicopter to the North Pole. Kraken is a roller coaster and is based on the sea monster from legendary stories. The Shamu Express is the other thrilling roller coaster at Sea World Orlando Florida.

Sea World Park has many shows to keep everyone entertained, involving the animals and trainers. Some of them also involve audience participation. One show, the Believe Show is devoted to the eight orca whales the lives in the park. There is also a nighttime version of the show  called the Shamu Rocks America, that showcases the whale’s tricks together with some pyrotechnics. There are also other show like the Blue Horizons, which is an acrobatic show for dolphins, false killer whales and birds.

The Odyssea show is another acrobatic display, with music and an underwater theme. Pet’s Ahoy is particularly suitable for families with young children at Sea World Orlando Florida.  Cats, dogs, birds, potbellied pigs and rats perform various tricks and stunts. Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island is a show involving otters, sea lions and a walrus in an adventure that brings in the audience.

Shark Encounter is an exciting experience for people who like close encounters. It contains the longest underwater tunnel of its kind in the world, from which to see barracudas, eels and more than 50 sharks. Their habitat is a beautiful and colorful coral reef. If the kids still haven’t run out of energy at Sea World Orlando Florida, there is an adventure playground known as Shamu’s Happy Harbor, with slides and a water maze. The theme park has become a firm landmark and a must see on anyone’s vacation itinerary when they come to Florida.

A visit must be made to the Central Florida Zoological Park in Sanford which has been opened since 1975. Any animal lover would be in awe at their collect of over four hundred animals. It is actually a privately owned charitable group dedicated to the protection of exotic animals plus species that are native to Florida but also offers informative and child-friendly classes and events.

When seeing the sights you need to plan a stop at The Orlando Science Center. Located about twenty minutes from the Orlando Airport, you can find the super complex that was built in 1955. It sports over 2,000 square feet of space and over ten halls. The International Trolley and Train Museum has fourteen trains running simultaneously in mountains, wilderness and urban areas; including three waterfalls that use 12,000 gallons of water per hour.

There are plenty of resorts to chose from and a good place to check them out is the Trip Advisor website where you will find plenty of unbiased reviews, including the ‘candid’ travellers photos as opposed to the often unrecognizable official hotel ones. One brand new resort which is becoming popular is the Caribe Cove Resort in Kissimmee. Caribe Cove Resort is a platinum rated resort in a quiet location, yet close enough to the action, with enormous condos and first class decor and furnishings. It is surrounded by lush wetlands yet still only minutes from Disney and provides a real oasis to return to after a frenetic day at the parks and attractions of Orlando. There’s no need for ‘candid’ photos at this resort as what you see is really what you get!
